Apologia

“There have most certainly been times and cultures that have been more positive towards
Christianity than 21st century Sweden, but this makes it all the more important for a living,
devout organization that takes up the calling to proclaim truth and the kingdom of God.”

– Per Ewert, director of Clapham Institute

Who We Are

Apologia is working with persuasive evangelism, apologetic training and public debates, training the next generation of public communicators of the Christian faith. We are developing an online education (our first course started September 2018 with 38 students) and add new courses, increase the number of training events for younger evangelist and apologists, launch a website with apologetic resources and add traveling speakers to our team of trainers and communicators.

We humbly work for a large goal to renew the church to be more strongly rooted in the Gospel and in understanding the biblical worldview and reform society in a more biblical direction.

Apologia has a threefold vision. The apostle Paul wrote, “I am put here for the defense of the gospel” and Pater challenged the believers to always be “prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” That is the biblical background for Apologias three-fold vision:

A culture of apologetics. We want to train and equip Christians for the spiritual and intellectual battle that rages around us. Apologetics must become an indispensable part of the life of the church.

The next generation of apologists. We want to see an apologetic renaissance in the churches of Sweden. To that end we offer training and mentoring for believers with a heart and calling to serve as apologists.

Persuasive evangelism. We want to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ in an intellectually viable and existentially compelling way to what may be the most secularized country in the world.

We want to see a renaissance of Christian apologetics as an integral part of the re-evangelization of Sweden.
